Official Opening of the 17th African Regional Labour Administration Centre (ARLAC) Committee
Mrs. Jacqueline Mugo the Executive Director, Federation of Kenya (FKE), International Organization of Employers (IOE) Vice President for Africa and Member of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Governing Body addressed guests during the Official Opening of the 17th African Regional Labour Administration Centre (ARLAC) Committee of senior officials held in Mombasa.
The forum brought together the Tripartite Social Partners in Kenya and officials from Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Eswatini.
Mrs. Mugo, urged the centre to rethink its governance structure and involve the tripartite partners in making strategic decisions to move the Centre forward.
"The Future of Labour Administration, just like the Future of Work and workplace is changing. As you Deliberate on the key issues and strategies for ARLAC to enhance the capacity of Labour Administration systems in member countries, always have in mind the success depends on ARLAC's Agility to respond to the Changing Labour market." She implored upon the officials.
Employers are grateful of the opportunities they continue to receive for ARLAC and will remain committed to play their role in ensuring the success of the institution.
This meeting was organised at the backdrop of ARLAC's New strategic direction through its strategic plan 2023-2029.
